I’m Maira Ata. Over the years, I’ve founded, led, and built — always chasing the same goal: turning models, messy data, and cutting-edge research into real products for industries where getting it wrong isn’t an option.

My work sits at the intersection of NLP, information extraction, and LLM engineering — applied to regtech and fintech, where the stakes are rarely abstract.

Before LeoRegtech, I founded Love For Data and led it as CTO. Building from zero taught me one thing above all else: elegant research means nothing if it can’t survive contact with production.

This site is where I think out loud. Part engineering journal, part research notebook — honest write-ups on what I’m building, what broke, and what I’m still figuring out. I believe the most useful technical writing comes from people still in the middle of learning, not just those who’ve already arrived.
